Bill's beloved Theodore Tugboat

This wonderful children's show took six years to make 120 episodes. Bill is proud to have made an individual creative decision on every picture change in every show. He was thrilled to work with the famous director Bob Cardona( featured in the below documentary)  who created “Tugs” in England and Denny Doherty from the Mama's and Papas who played the harbour master in the series. Bill cornered Denny one day while filming and asked him, “If there was one thing you could tell me about the music business what would it be?” Denny said, “Keep a'hold of your publishing!” Bill never forgot that.

Bill always had a theory that his boss and creator of the characters, Andrew Cochran, loosely based the characters in the show around the people around the office. Bill imagined his friend Sheila McNab was Emily, George was Randy Dewell (ex CJCH), Andrew himself was Theodore and Bill was Hank-  the spontaneous"let's do it without thinking and see what happens"character.  During the making if this show Bill got to be a kid again and experience life in his 30's through the mind of a toddler.

Denny Doherty gave Bill great advice. "Hang on your publishing" he would say.
