After editing corporate videos for a few years Bill's mentor and boss Andrew Cochran created "Theodore Tugboat", a live action, animated childrens' television series for CBC. As editor for the series Bill had to work with audio engineers in Toronto and it was through this correspondence that he became friends with Graham Shaw, the shows composer.

As editor for the series Bill had to work with audio engineers in Toronto and it was through this correspondence that he became friends with Graham Shaw, the shows composer.

Graham who had a hit in the 80's with "Can I Come Near" ( Graham Shaw and the Sincere Serenaders) knew his way around the studio and agreed to produce some of Bill's songs. Bill happily made repeated trips to Toronto and with Graham as producer and performing keys, four of his original songs were brought to life.

In 1998 Jazz singer Jeri Brown wanted to support local musicians and upon hearing Bill's demos included him on a compilation CD she was making. She also graciously arranged to have everyone play a set on the stage at Halifax Jazz Festival 1998. Jeri sings back up on Perfect World- can you hear her smooth voice?
